TY for vid, the perspective you used helps in my decision to seriously look at for purchase. I can clearly see the speed, road your actions when driving and sound. Other dont always use this point of view in showing their road testing. Once again, TY.

the throaty sound is piped in via the speakers. you will need to turn that off via carista or techstream.

did that with our 23 tundra. that fake sound is very misleading.

All the reviews have said that there isn’t any piped in engine noise on the 4Runner. The Tundra yes, but not this model.

so you are telling me that v8 sound in the cabin is not piped in?

you can definitely hear that throaty v8 sound when people do 0-60 test runs.

here is a good sound clip from a 0-60 in a limited. you cant tell me that sound isnt piped in via speakers. there is no way that sound is from a 4 cylinder

jump to 26:19 for the 0-60 run

I drove an ORP and I don't know that I would describe what I heard inside the cabin as "throaty" by any means.. It sounded surprisingly better than I expected, but it certainly does not sound like a 6. The sound of the 6 is common that our dog perks up whenever we're walking and a Taco or a 4Runner fires up the engine. She's been riding in 4Runners for 12 years and knows nothing but that sound. You won't be getting that.

I am wondering if there are any particular exhaust tips that might 'enhance' the sound a bit?
Not expecting it to sound like a 6, but anyone have any suggestions to help it not sound like a Honda Pilot?
