Platinum allocations increasing

well it finally happened. my allocation reserve request was finally filled. expected delivery date of 6-nov-25. shows as a 2025 MY but at this point its so close to change over to 26 MY it may come as a 26.

funny part, the other one is being pre-sold to my co-worker who is trading his 23 tundra for a 4R, but he is still keeping his 5th gen tundra.

all my FIO and PIO options i requested on the build sheet was picked up, but one item looks weird, it shows a liftgate led but on the build sheet its not marked as that. will have to check with the sales manager to verify its not the TL option (tailgate led) but it should be 43 option (d-pillar lights)

in the end i will put a full post from start to finish of the whole buying experience in this sub forum

Congrats!! Very similar to one Im getting! I didn't get to pick anything but the dealer is going to put in a request for modifications to PIO but who knows if it will happen!

I have both the cargo pillar light and the tailgate LED light. Keep them both. I noticed you didn't have the roof rails checked, and I didn't see an option for the ARB roof rack. What is your plan or thought for the top of the truck?

since 1984, i have never once use the roof to carry anything and 1984 was the first toyota vehicle i ever bought. this is going to be used as a winter time daily driver to/from work mostly due to our winters.

its primary job is to be a pavement princess and maybe once in a blue moon fishing trip vehicle to get to off pavement fishing spots.

Congrats @Nodak . You've been very patient, but your patience will reward your wallet in the end. Happy that you have an expected date of arrival. My rig is coming any day now!

either sold or pre-sold.

mine dropped off the list in less than a day. i went in, talked with the sales manager, re-confirmed PIO options that had dropped off the list and added them back in, with the caveat that they not get added in the end. not to worried about it as it was a last minute request.

since its pretty much pre-sold ($1000 deposit) they probably marked it as sold which is unusual since they usually leave the sale pending ones up regardless to drum up interest.

reminds me of my neighbor across the street when we did an allocation reserve request for the wife's 2016 tacoma limited, arrived on the dealer lot and he tried to buy it out from under us even though we already had a $1000 deposit on it and it was pre sold.

should have seen his face and the crap he gave us when we pulled into our driveway with it.

its was funny though, we both got a good laugh out of it (we are good friends with each other)

should only take about 3-4 wks (take 4-6 weeks if it has to goto newark on the east coast via the panama canal) on the RORO ship from japan and then lands in portland. once landed it should only take a week (maybe 2) for PIO to be installed then put onto a railcar for transport that usually takes about 1-2 weeks. then maybe another weeks to truck carrier to the dealer ship (depends on how fast they can load the transport with vehicles since they usually like to take a full load to justify the money savings)

if you want the excel file i used to generate this, it is attached. i also did model/color/state breakout but thats way to hard to post as a single pic for the last 4 pulls i did.

i also reformatted the layout. changed back to a-z by model then by color. doing it by z-a by totals meant the list constantly changed order so it was hard to compare week by week.
