Personalized vanity license plate. What's yours?

You do you ! Looks like someone else did the same thing a couple of posts before me. I did my other plate four years ago for my 75 bronco. The law also states that make it illegible obviously not the case with mine black to grey UGA . I’ve even had a police officer ask where he can get it done. And he did. License plate reader picks it up just fine.

I used to have an SS Chevy car that I had a vanity plate using the SS in a word play with the name. I painted the two SS's in red and I got stopped so many times by officers to tell me that "I shouldn't do that" but none told me to get a new plate or give me a ticket. I even got a photo radar ticket and the judge full out laughed when he saw the photo when I contested the ticket (very long story). He did throw out the ticket but never said anything about my "altered" plate after that.

I ordered mine few weeks ago, and I think California has like a 4 month wait on custom plates, but I ordered "YONRUNR"
Yon = 4 in Japanese.

Everything else I could think of was taken

my first plate was 4RUNR since 4RUNNER was taken by someone out in fargo

eventually they gave it up and me checking year after year (ND has a website to check available personal plates)

we have way to many special plates for different interest groups

Which is a state issued plate, just so happens to match the Wave Maker quite well.

I'd just be aware that when you choose to violate certain regulations you need to be prepared to meet an enforcer who may not agree with your choice and who holds you accountable (Yours looks great!)

all it takes is one law enforcement person to ruin your day. just because one allows it, the next person will adhere to the law and not allow it.

i prefer the low risk path vs taking my chances.

• Fraudulent/Switched Plates: Using a tag from another vehicle or an altered plate is illegal.
• Proposed "Ghost Plate" Penalties: New legislation, the "Eliminating Ghost Plates Act," proposed higher fines: $250 (1st offense), $500 (2nd), and $750 plus jail time for subsequent offenses.
• Common Traffic Fines: Expired or no license plate/decal violations often result in fines around $125 to $158.50.
