Purchased vehicle in September 2025, it has 4,600 miles on the clock. Have had Toyotas for 35 years now and this is the ONLY one that has brakes squeaking when in reverse. Never in forward, just reverse. Won’t seem to go away no matter what. Anyone else having this issue?

Many other posts on the subject and a TSB from Toyota. Not impacting me yet but I keep it garaged.

do a quick search and you will find.
I believe some had the work done as described in the TSB but had the issue again.

the brake squeal is a non-functional issue so some are choosing to wait closer to the 20,000 miles oil change and having them throw the new brakes on then for free to get the most out of the original. I personally had them fix it at my first oil change (5,000 miles) and havent had a squeal since. Just a heads up though, they will need to confirm the issue and only then do they order the replacement parts. I was under the impression they were fixing it at my first appointment since its a know TSB so I dropped the car off before work, was shuttled to work and back at the end of the day, just for them to tell me "yup it squeaks... we ordered the repair kit and itll be here in 3 weeks".
