If you get a real skid plate is the Futomo valve covered by the skid? I don't like the end of it just hanging down there.

I have a Toyota TRD skid plate installed (which unfortunately is a solid plate and doesn't have an access). I don't have an oil drain valve installed. With my skid plate, I will have to remove my skid plate to get to the drain plug and oil filter.

FWIW, the blue crush washers are metal (aluminum or aluminum alloy of some sort). The blue is a sealing coating. It could be the new/different ones are the same but with a different color coating. I suppose you could saw one in half and see if that’s the case.
