Depends on what you mean by āsmooth ride.ā My SR5 with SL Ridge Grapplers at 34 psi rides like a jitterbug at low speeds with any sort of road imperfections, but is quite smooth at 75 mph on a decent interstate highway. Iām pretty sure I could air down to 20 psi and wouldnt solve the ride...
I posted this before (maybe in another thread) but the Ark mudflaps are easy to trim to the length you want. I ordered the full length and trimmed to where I wanted (I ended up only trimming the front ones because for whatever reason they had several inches less ground clearance on my truck than...
I assume you know this but as noted above you have to toggle to the āstandardā cruise control option BEFORE pressing the cruise control button above the toggle switch. You cannot toggle to standard option after pressing the cruise control button. I see that error message if I try to do so. It...
Thanks for the post. Iām going to file this away for future reference. In addition to better looks, is the new armrest noticeably more comfortable for an elbow to rest? That would be a nice low cost add to an SR5 if so.
You can trim the Ark to length with a sharp razor knife. I took a couple inches off the regular front wheel Ark flaps because the stuck down so much. The rear ones donāt, so I left them alone.
That would be true for most collision repair centers, it's not particular to a dealership. The days of bondo and paint are mostly gone, particularly with panels that are designed to crumple in an accident.
is OP saying the steering wheel is off center sitting on flat ground with wheels straight or while driving with vehicle pulling to the right? I assumed the latter, hence my comment about road crown. Where I live, we have some roads with significant crown and you do have to counteract it with...
Someone else can chime in who perhaps has the oem aluminum plate and the transmission skid plate installed, but I installed the Trailhunter-equivalent Landcruiser front skid plate and the transmission skid plate on my gas SR5 recently, and I donāt know of an installation reason the transmission...
I have an SR5, which may have a different gauge appearance for the transmission than yours, but I generally drive with the engine oil and trans temp gauge screen showing, at least until it warms up (after which I switch to watching boost). In my experience, per the gauge my transmission...
I sometimes wonder if these sorts of completely misguided and off-topic responses are based on AI queries by the posters? Which then serve as fodder for more AI learning, creating an endless feedback loop of increasingly worthless information.
I'd like to think that, otherwise, I can't imagine...
Mine is like this. I havenāt worried too much about it, but my guess is itās going to be impossible to put PPF on the heavily orange peel textured paint areas and have it adhere without some air gaps.
I think maybe you're missing the point. Historically, turning the canister filter some rotational distance past the point at which the gasket first contacts the filter mount IS the spec, like the info I gave you from the Factory Service Manual for the 100 Series Land Cruiser. I think you may...
This is one of these replies that doesn't precisely address the question, but I just did the oil on my 2000 Land Cruiser and for the oil filter, the FSM says to hand tighten it until the filter gasket contacts the filter mounting seat and then tighten it 3/4 of a turn more. So that's the "spec"...
I've only had mine two weeks, but in that time the one thing that has irritated me about the spartan feature set on the SR5 is the manual dimming rearview mirror. I'm fine with the manual climate control, the smaller screen, the manual liftgate, etc. But to have the same ancient rearview...
