2025 4runner 6th gen New Off Road Premium - 2.5” lift price sanity check IMG_3104

New 4Runner Off Road Premium owner here - came from 2014 Jeep Rubicon. Desert and mountain off roader. Gave up on Jeep due to quality.

First priority is the lift to get back some precious ground clearance. I was shocked at the estimate. Granted I’m in LA. What do you guys think? It’s a well-reputed shop that can probably charge a premium I guess. But I don’t mind doing the work in Vegas or Reno to save a grand or two especially on sales tax.

Thanks!

Your not going to save a grand or two. You'll be paying the same for the Icon kit, wheels, tires, and lugs anywhere you go. The labor rate is high but it's CA; what you expect. But I don't see it taking 8 hours. 4 hours is more reasonable.

That’s too expensive. Go to discount tire for wheels and tires. They will price match the lowest price you find online. Personally, I would install those first and then go get my lift and alignment. I don’t know about California prices but that lift wouldn’t go for more than $1500 here in Colorado. I think if you are savvy, you can save over a $1000 easily.

The parts prices are very good (get online and see for yourself), but the hourly labor rate seems to be sky high. Shop around and see if its fair for your locale. I wouldn’t expect a shop to bill less than 6 to 8 hours for a full suspension swap with UCAs. They might get it done it less time, but that’s not how it works.

Contact "Coast Wheels and Tires" in Costa Mesa, CA.

When I did my wheels/tires/leveling kit, I bought everything through them AND had them install it. Pricing for my stuff and list of work:
- Method 703's x4
- Toyo Open Country 285/70r17's (SL load) x4
- ReadyLift Leveling Kit
- Full alignment

All of that was $2950 out the door, plus they include lifetime tire rotations (since your in LA, probably not worth driving to OC every 5k miles to do that there).

To be fair, my leveling kit is only for the front, so the back didnt have to be touched, but they do stellar work. Highly recommend them.
