I am new to this style of roof racks so please excuse my ignorance. I am looking for any kind of opinion, photo, or guidance with this decision.

I have narrowed it down to two
- Prinsu Pro
- Westcott Designs low pro

I’ve already convinced myself to eliminate the Sherpa Capital.

I like the low profile of WD’s but don’t like the lack of mounting accessories.
I am also concern with the moonroof open/tilt and if that will be an issue.
They have nicer looking window molle panels (I wont be needing/getting any, any time soon)

I feel like Prinsu is a safer choice but don’t love the height. It just seems so bulky compared to WD.

What are y’all’s thoughts?
Photos of your rig with either would help as well.

I ended up narrowing it down to two choices, and I was leaning towards Westcott since my garage entrance is pretty low. But then I went ahead and ordered the Cali Raised one, which was supposed to be the tallest option. Turns out, after checking the reviews, it’s only half an inch taller than the fin on the roof!

I got the Westcott Design because of the low profile and my concerns about fitting in parking garages

Mounting accessories should be universal with the cross racks. I'm using the Cali Raised maxtrax mounts right now. I'm glad I got the the Westcott Design awning brackets, I thought the 23Zero brackets would be sufficient, but they weren't

Has anyone successfully mounted a Prinsu Pro Rack on a TRD Pro? Attempted an install today and ran into a lot of fitment issues between hardware to the rack and the rack feet to the OEM mounting points.

I ended up going with WD’s low profile
I work in the city so I wanted to avoid the anxiety of all the low clearance parking garages

The 6th gen has only been out a little while. I`d be concerned with these companies spitting out products for this model. You know there hasnt been any long term testing of fitment / quality with these items but they are quick to sell them to you.
Take note that when it comes to proper suspension lifts by the big companies i.e. Fox, Eibach,Icon etc, they havent done that yet. They didnt jump right in like rough country, and ready lift, whom had no time to properly engineer anything and only used stuff they had laying around the shops.

Just a thought, but the tacoma has been out for a little while and from my understanding alot of the lift pucks and collars tend to be the same between the tacoma and the 4runner so that does not surprise me. roof racks also should not be too hard to engineer given these brands have supported previous generations of 4Runner.

New fear unlocked... Never thought of this... What is considered usual garage clearance limit? 7ft?

I think it's 7 or 8 feet. I had a bad experience with a previous jeep... let's just say I needed a new garage door and soft top
