I have about 2500 miles on my SR5 with the 285/70r17 tires on it. On highways/freeways, I average about 21mpg. City (most of my driving), I average between 16-18mpg.

I drive 100% in the "Normal" driving mode.

Drove the 25 4runner SR5 with 275/70/17 Falken Wildpeak AT4 tires and no front spoiler or lift. 851 miles there and back. 50 miles of that is probably driven around the city the rest is highway. Speed limits ranged from 35-70 mph and I always use cruise where I can and do about 5 mph over the speed limit. My total average was 16.9 mpg running premium.

Now I am coming from a 21 Tundra SR5 4x4 crew max so I'm not disappointed, but should it be better?

I’m in a TRD Pro (2025) and I’m getting 16.3 mpg. I’m currently running 285/70/R18 with a +18 offset BFG Ko3 LT E Rated tires with a Westcott Designs Preload Collar lift.
