Thought this was such a cool idea that I did it. Got the LC skid last week and put it on last night. Picked up some Heritage Blue touch up paint from a local dealer.
I did not reinstall the air dam in part because my 285/70R18s rub on the last inside connection point which I have bent back to avoid the rubbing, but it looks to me like the LC plate does not interfere with the air dam connections. I'll also note that the LC skid came with a black metal "bracket" that attaches just under the front of the skid. I went ahead and installed it since I had 2 extra bolts after removing the plastic skids - thinking that it might block that small opening in front of the radiator. It does a bit but the gap is still there (see photo). Will post all the mods in the "what did you do today" thread at some point but I liked how the blue TOYOTA turned out so sharing here. (even through a close look reveals my unsteady hand with the brush.)
