I went and scraped the rear passenger side fender and am wondering if it's a part I can just order and replace myself vs using a body shop.

Yeah, my only issue with a claim is that it'll get reported to CarFax and I'd rather keep the vehicle record clean if I can. After all, it isn't like I was actually in an accident (I misjudged how much space I had navigating in a parking garage that was having construction done and just barely scraped against a concrete pillar)the big issue is getting it painted.
between the parts, painting and minor hardware, i personally wouldnt do it myself. i mean i only have a $100 deductible across the board so its just easier to do a insurance claim.
but i rarely do claims so it really doesnt affect my insurance long term wise if i keep my claims around 1 every 5-7 yrs
I would never do an insurance claim for something that minor. They'll jack your rates up or cancel you.the big issue is getting it painted.

Thanks for the video! Looks just about as difficult as I expected. Honestly love how the fenders were made to be removed. The benefits of having an off-road oriented truck! Looks like those flares on Rave are just the Rough Country ones they're selling as a third party.Pretty simple R & R. Here is a video with install on Rough Country f/f.
If you want fancy shmansy,,,,here is an option from Rave Off Road: https://raveoffroad.com/products/paint-matched-fender-flares-for-2025-4runner?variant=40862761254947
that might be your insurance but ...I would never do an insurance claim for something that minor. They'll jack your rates up or cancel you.
sadly that is the new MO for most insurance companies today. it wasnt like that in the old days and i am lucky that i have policy enforcements that have been grandfathered and i dont lose them.Unrelated to whether its categorized as accident of not. Filing claims most often ends up as increased premiums. Too many will get you cancelled.
