I'm looking at options for re-inflating tires. Originally, I was thinking that the portable twin brushless unit from ARB would be the best way to go, but it's also the most costly and would take up storage space inside the truck. I'm now thinking that going on-board under the hood with a single brushless unit (which I've seen in other threads) would be better and the cost difference would probably cover installation.

My installation guy says that the single units take "forever." Can anyone give some insight into just how long "forever" might be? I don't anticipate airing down and back up with great frequency, but I do want to have the capability.

really depends on spec of the compressor. fast and $$$ or cheap and slow somewhat if you consider right around 2.5 cfm is either too slow or enough.

also consider amp draw and size and location you are wanting to put this.
