Getting ready to spend the anniversary weekend in the mountains next week, so have been knocking things off the to-do list. A few things I got done this week:

  • Installed Meso Customs LED map and dome lights
  • Installed red rear recovery hook
  • Installed LAMTTO 360-deg 4-channel dash cam
  • Installed Racksbrax HD quick-release awning mounts

Looks sick! I just purchased meso customs dome and map lights. I plan to install them this week. The YouTube installation guide says you have to drill into the plastic molding for the map lights in order to run the plugs through. Did you have to do this?

Thanks, and no, you don’t need to drill if you remove the OEM LED bulbs. There’s a large opening behind them and you can run the connectors for the Meso lights in those openings.

Did you have an issue with this connector? It doesn’t seat all the way into the OEM overhead unit. I know I bought the right lights (I tripped checked) but this connector won’t seat properly. It doesn’t even click. I plugged the original OEM connector to see if it works and it fits properly. I compared the meso connector to the oem and they look identical. I emailed meso customs but Jsut wondering if I’m doing something wrong. I didn’t want to brute force it and possible break something.

From my knowledge, I know it goes in one way, I'd maybe try and seat it differently and really push it in. I had to give my connector a good amount of force to get it in there

I remember it being firm, but not so firm that I felt uncomfortable applying the pressure to seat it properly.
