what am I missing? Can't delete posts and/or threads?

We only Edit permissions, Admin would need to delete the thread.I must be missing something, because I can't even see how to delete a post I just made or even haven't posted yet.
What do you mean you can't see how to delete a post you haven't posted? How can you delete something that's not there?I can't even see how to delete a post I just made or even haven't posted yet.
Yes, you can delete your post you made.OK, but what about a post in a thread. Any way to delete a post I'm made in a thread, even a post I just made?
what I mean is, if I am composing a reply post, there's no way to cancel and forget it, at least not that I can see.
The screenshot I linked prior shows the delete button to delete a response you have submitted to a thread.I must be slow, how can I delete a post that I'm made? I can't see a way to delete one of my posts.
OK, I'm an idiot. Thanks. The screenshot I linked prior shows the delete button to delete a response you have submitted to a thread.
If you are talking about the text box at the bottom of the screen where you start typing a response but do not submit it, that will stay cached there until you manually select your text and delete it.
If you are talking about a post/thread you have created from scratch to ask a question, such as this entire thread, you cannot fully delete that. Admins have to clear it out. Terminology is important.

I'd argue most idiots don't know they are. So, you are at least above that.OK, I'm an idiot. Thanks.
