OK, but what about a post in a thread. Any way to delete a post I'm made in a thread, even a post I just made?

what I mean is, if I am composing a reply post, there's no way to cancel and forget it, at least not that I can see.
Yes, you can delete your post you made.

If you are meaning the compose box at the bottom of your screen you have to manually select all your text and delete it before submitting.

I must be slow, how can I delete a post that I'm made? I can't see a way to delete one of my posts.
The screenshot I linked prior shows the delete button to delete a response you have submitted to a thread.

If you are talking about the text box at the bottom of the screen where you start typing a response but do not submit it, that will stay cached there until you manually select your text and delete it.

If you are talking about a post/thread you have created from scratch to ask a question, such as this entire thread, you cannot fully delete that. Admins have to clear it out. Terminology is important.
