I’m just realizing also they it’s glossy black unlike the Off-road grille that’s more matte. So you’d have to also replace the lower one which has the sensors and stuff…. That might be a deal breaker for me. I don’t really like the gloss look.
So Rave off road just released their grille kit which gives you the upper and lower, light bar, and everything you need to swap. With the cheapest light bar it's $1275 for the kit, BUT They sell a 3-D printed camera plug for the new grill separately so I might just order the upper grill for the trail hunter then buy the camera plug and I should be set! And in it for around $ 250

Do you have a link for the upper grill? Thanks

Rave is selling just the upper, but it's cheaper on some of the Toyota parts sites. I've just been told there is no inventory yet for the TRD Pro version without the bronze.

Rave is selling the whole kit which is the top and bottom. The TRD pro is a gloss black grill fyi.

Got it. The $485 price includes upper and lower. The gloss black concern is an issue when adding to an off road premium or other trims with the matte. Hmmm

Yes, that was my issue. I have an ORP and would rather have the matte with the bronze than the gloss black, so that's the route I went. I do not think the bronze will look bad with my Underground

Looking forward to see how it looks. I have a black ORP on order (picking it up next week). The bronze would probably look great, but I haven't made up my mind. The price linked above from the dealer in VA seemed fair enough to give it a try. Does anyone know if the trailhunter version is actually shipping from dealers yet? I called around for the pro version and was told nothing was state side yet.

I believe the trailhunter is the same story. Now that you mention yours being black the gloss black grille may not be so bad with the black paint but you would have to match the lower as well for it to look right. I'm sure someone will make an aftermarket heritage grille soon enough.

Is there a part number for the lower grille with light bar opening?
https://www.4runner6g.com/forum/threads/trailhunter-lower-grille-part-numbers.5484/

53113-350XX (10,20,30,40)
XX= 30 = matte black
40 = gloss black
Idk the others

Then for the letters in the upper grill, I think it always comes with bronze letters and you can get overlays that stick on top of the letters to change them to matte black or a few others.

The letters only come in bronze (maybe silver too), but the good? news is the paint is worthless.

I got the matte black overlays and they look like ass with like a puffy shape, so I used alcohol to loosen the vhb to take them back off, and it dissolves the paint. It's just a thin single coat, no primer, no clear coat, nothing. Scratches if you look at it funny, mere denatured alcohol dissolves it. Like a worthless aliexpress toy instead of the exterior of a vehicle.

The bronze part is a seperate insert that is also only stuck on with vhb, So you could pry them out and clean the paint off easy and have plain black plastic, or paint the inserts some other black or color match the body etc.

(Here the T just happened to come off easy, but then the O stuck hard so I used alcohol and the scuffed part happened just from touching it, and I could see bronze dissolved in the alcohol run off, so the remaining paint is thinner and duller on the O. So the rest of the way I managed to get the hard way without using alcohol again.)

If you don't hate the way these black letters look, then the part number is above.
