I have been noticing that some of the Trd pro have been coming with color matched overlays on the heritage grille. I'm wondering if anybody knows the part number for the underground Overlay? The only thing I was able to find online was the Matte Black which is PT948-89250-02. If anybody could help, it would be much appreciated!

Just picked up my black Trd pro yesterday!!

This is the Heritage Grill that it came with. I’ve seen a few other black ones that appeared to come with a matte black at heritage Grill.

So to switch the grill, do I take this one off or do I merely order the black matte one and put it on top?

You order the color you want and they go over the stock letters. They stick on with double sided tape.

My new trailhunter had factory installed black over lays over the heritage badge. Something I wouldn’t have chosen! So you’re saying I can just pop those off. And not worry about damaging anything?

If you take them off, let us know if you have any trouble or how the cleanup is, if there is any.

I think they are just plastic pieces that fit right over the individual letters. I just bought my Trailhunter in Everest and one of the factory installed items was the black overlays on the heritage grill. I honestly prefer the bronze so I’m really tempted to just pull mine off.

I'm curious if someone has pulled them off and how it went. Mine are on the rear of my soon to be arriving SR5 with Toyota chrome letters that I want to pull off. Just not sure if I need to hit them first with the heat gun lightly or they peel right off.

I ended up plasti-dipping mine to keep the added dimension but I played with a corner and think they’d come off super easy honestly. I bet you don’t even need a heat gun.
