I was 100% positive I wanted the ORP (and probably still do), but I am starting to weigh the $6k difference. I do like the idea of the larger screen so I would have to buy aftermarket there. I don't love the seats so I would buy seat covers (probably would on either trim). I will be upgrading the suspension and wheels on either model (already have the 18" TRD Pro wheels). I would have to buy an aftermarket automatic liftgate - not a huge priority. All the little things kind of bother me though such as the lack of heated/ventilated seats, larger screen as mentioned, just less creature comforts. Anyone have this struggle?

If you'd buy seat covers on EITHER trim, seat ventilation from factory isn't important; you'll be covering up the holes.

Sounds like you should just get the Premium. See if you can live with the seats to maintain the heat/ventilation functions. Then you just have to upgrade the wheels/4wd components you want to upgrade, which makes a lot more sense IMO.

But my biggest input is to make this decision yourself using your own faculties. Internet opinions on the forum aren't a good substitute for your own reasoning and awareness of what will satisfy yourself.

I bounced back and forth between the premium and non-premium. ended up getting a non-premium because I could not find a premium without a moon roof. I don't care about the larger screen. the only thing I would like are the cameras. but after seeing the ridiculous camera Graphics. I'm not sure I'm missing the cameras. Will probably do a wolf box or equivalent. I like the manual re hatch better than the motorized one. Do not have to wait for the motor to lift it.

Thanks for your input. I am 100% making my own decision. Having others inputs on real life situations can only help in my decision. Also, the seat covers I will be buying retain heat and ventilated seats.

Appreciate it. I cannot find a premium without the moonroof either. I did get the dealership to remove that $850, but it still has the moonroof. Hmmm, I do hate how slow my wife's Highlander opens the hatch.

I weighed it and got the non-premium. It has heated seats and steering wheel. I do like leather but the cloth seats are quality. I dont care about a moonroof so I would be payin 6k for some cameras, a bigger screen, a hatch i dislike and a sound system people arent impressed with. I would rather spend the 6k on skid plates and gas, and I can always get katzkin seats that are nicer than oem if I regret not having leather.

I found some orp with no moonroof when I was looking recently. I found that vindowsticker.com is the easiest way to quickly click on vehicles and see if it has the MR(moonroof) package.

I have a 2026 Tundra SR5 and a 2025 4runner ORP. The Premium is absolutely worth it. I miss the larger screen and nicer seats when I drive the Tundra. Of course the much more powerful engine makes up for it.

For me it was a no brainer to go premium. I have had ventilated seats in previous 3 vehicles and being in Socal I will never be without them if I have the option.

Thank you everyone for the replies & opinions. This was exactly what I was looking for. It seems I am not alone in this decision.

I went with Off-Road Premium mainly because of the larger screen, moonroof, heated steering wheel(wife really likes it), automatic liftgate and softex seats. In CAD is about $9K difference for ORP from SR5. We don't have Off-Road non-premium trim here.

I brought my OR base model home today, and other than the culture shock of coming from my Ford Ranger and F350, it is exactly what I wanted. I hate sun roofs, and the 14” screen was way too much. AC for the seats would have been nice, but I’ll survive without them. I live in snow country, so will really appreciate the heated steering wheel.

The $6-8K difference wasn’t worth it.

I feel confident in the type that if I bought the off-road instead of the off-road premium I would end up regretting it. Bc of that screen and leather seating.
