this video is mostly about replacing the stock speakers in the 2025+ 4runner ...

but it gives great instructions on how to remove and reinstall

1. driver side "A" pillar and drivers door panel (time stamp 20:43)
3. driver passenger rear door panel (timestamp 33:48)
4. the rear liftgate panel (time stamp 1:02:20)

This video was super helpful to me when I soundproofed my 5 doors and replaced 10 speakers. I would not have had the nerve to tackle a project like that without some sort of visual guidance. It was so valuable because it showed every fastener that is concealed before you start.

However I do want to note for anyone that is going to remove a panel: the pop rivet fasteners and the plastic tabs on trim pieces may be super snug on your panel. In the video they popped free very easily. I had to really yank them to get the panel starting to come off. And it is not a comfortable feeling when you are pulling something and it is not coming off like it did in the video. Part of the anxiety of working on your BRAND NEW vehicle.

i imagine the video is a result of them removing and re-isntalling the panels multiple times so it made the contact point more flexible than them removing them the first time.

but i agree, anything you pull first time on a toyota will fill like you are going to break it.

super good example is the overhead map lights. that panel you literally have to use a crowbar the first time it feels like until it gives

Now to drop hints to the wife to get this kit for me for my birthday coming up. Was watching their other videos on the Beat Sonic and sound deadening. I want to do it all at once.

Super cool, ty! Curious if this ends up being a good upgrade? $737 for the JBL system isn’t bad at all
