California, I really think that ceramic coating should already be part of that 6k package imowow.. I’m in Maine and they’re quoting atleast 6k for just PPF. Ceramic coating is another 2.5k, what state are you in?
To be fair, I saved up while I was waiting for the 4runner to arrive. The money saved up for could've been for rock sliders and wheels, but I put it on ppf and will save up for them again.I had XPEL PPF done on the full front hood, bumper, headlights and partial fenders.
XPEL Ceramic tint for windshield, front driver and passenger sides. I decided to keep the oem factory for the privacy glass and the rear driver and passenger. Son convinced me to keep the tint off of the moonroof. Keep the natural light in when needed.
All this and it was just over $2.5K and had to pay cash to get this price. I couldn't get myself to pay more for Full Body PPF.
I was told the same, he said 5 years on average should be good. Supposed to be "8 years" but there are a lot of factors that comes into place such as how often is it exposed to weather conditions, and the severity of it, how often do you leave it parked outside versus interior, etc. If you do not remove it after five or six years, the shop will have difficult time removing it because of the deterioration. I personally am having the I got the full ppf, buy once cry once. Once I got it I didn't think about how much I spent on rather how I'm going to benefit from it. The peace of mind that I have knowing I have full ppf and while offroading is priceless. How long did they tell you the PPF will last and when will it have to be replaced, I inquired about it and they told me between 3 and 5 yrs. Having a hard time justifying that every 3-5 yrs. unless you plan on selling or trading it in within that time period.
