Front license plate mounting

Just realized my 2025 trailhunter doesn’t have anywhere to place my new plates without drilling. What are most people doing for this? I live in a place that requires front and rear plates. Any help would be appreciated

I also live in a state that requires front plates. Mine is in the pocket behind the front passenger seat.

The front has two small indents where you can drill or use self tapping bolts.

I have a mount that hooks into the grill without drilling any holes

The dealership mounted mine by drilling holes into the bumper. Probably through the indents mentioned above but I’m not certain. I didn’t realize it and they used very long screws for some reason as well. When I was replacing the grill and fog lights I didn’t realize the license plate was screwed all the way through all of the pieces and took me a while to get everything separated.

I think almost all states require both plates now, but I've never had one on any of my vehicles in the last 35+ years.

29 states require a front license plate and Idaho just recently passed a law that says a front plate is not required if the vehicle lacks a factory mounting bracket.

There are two holes in the front for a license plate. They come from the factory with round plastic cutouts that are thin and designed for mounting screws to be easily screwed in. My '25 ORP came with a front license plate holder that form fits to the ridge in the front.

Yes use the dimples in the bumper. That area as a screw boss to hold screw securely. Technically you should NOT drill them just use supplied self tapping screws.

the vehicle should have come with a mounting bracket for the the plate itself that screws into the front bumper.

it should contour with the front fascia

Between Texas, NC and Cali, I’ve never run a front plate. If any cop asks, tell them the car was recently in a collision and the body shop forgot to get you a new bracket lol
