My dealer messaged me saying that a TRD Sport Premium that I have a deposit down on left Japan on 1/31, how long should that transit time take to arrive at my dealership?

Mine finished the build on Jan 20th, original ETA was March 8th, that was moved up to Feb 22nd, yesterday rail car was in Wyoming and I am in Colorado so really could be any day. Taking original timeline would be 7 weeks once build was finished, accelerated timeline would be 5 weeks.

Shipping of 4Runners from Tahara plant in Aichi Japan to a US / NA port takes 2-4 weeks, depending on which destination port.

• West coast ports take 15-20 days
• East coast ports take 25-30 days

Processing / inspection at the port takes a few days to 1 week.

Delivery to dealership takes from a few days to a couple of weeks depending on distance of the dealership from the port.

Total time from build to delivery is generally 4-6 weeks.

As long as they don't cut corners on the build and QC. I almost think they're moving faster to land ashore before any additional tariff.

What website are you getting that detailed info from using your VIN? I have my vin and understand from a dealer screenshot that its on the ship. I would love to get better tracking info.

Only info comes from the dealer, which is unbelievable given the current state of technology.

Dealer has all that info. The first dealer I had ordered from, the sales rep was lazy. After two weeks, he did not know the order had not been sent.
He lost this deal, and another from my daughter.

A friend purchased a Corvette a few years ago (ZR1 I think, 650HP). He was able to track it in the build factory, on the train, truck, etc. It made for a great experience. Even on the train, he could see the location daily.

Toyota need to implement something better in terms of a customer portal tracking for those who have committed with a deposit. Oh well.....

The ship passage can take about 8-10 days depending on the ports, the ship, and the weather. The Pacific is a big ocean! I don’t know how it gets to your dealer from the port. Good luck!

once it arrives at a shipping port, its loaded onto railcar to a regional port. then put on a 3rd party transport truck to a dealer

Thanks!… that makes sense. Do you know what port and shipping line they typically use? My home port was LA/LB.

usually for SET its jaxport (jacksonville) for japan shipments

for GST its usually houston

Mine arrived at Portland on 2/22. Rep says it was waiting for processing at that time. The chart that was put up, shows all options have been added. On the line of this chart, a 3/16 date is shown, have no idea where that date fits.
Originally Toyota rep said delivery window, 3/6 -4/6.
