I've got a 2025 Everest Green TRD ORP (Non-Hybrid) with the upgraded TRD 18' Inch wheels. I traded my 2023 Lexus IS500 for it & what a solid rig. Winter was fun too & I ditched the OEM Falkens for Toyo Open Country AT3's.

Looks great, the Toyos make a big difference, I’m looking at them now. What size did you go with?

I had all 4 mounted & balanced last December at my Local Toyota dealer. They had a sale buy 3 tires & get 1 for free. All together taxes was $1,250.00 & I am also covered under the Road Hazard Program. I put so far 15k miles on the tires rotation every 5k miles. My last service in June they still were 9/32 tread-wear left.

I picked my 26 OR in June and drove it across the country to move for a new job. The plan was to leave it stock for a while, but then I took it on some trails which revealed some deficiencies. So here we are.

I previously owned a 4th gen which I lifted a few inches, drove the piss out of that, and traded it in for a Wrangler JKUR when I originally moved to the east coast. Let’s just say that was a mistake.

This will be my daily driver so I don’t want to go too extreme with 35s, a rooftop tent etc.

First trip out my drivers side running board took some damage.

C4 front skid plate installed.
Diff skid and rock sliders on order.

For those not aware, the C4 skid plate requires removing the front tow hooks. It’s a bullshit design and they don’t advertise this. It would have been dirt simple for them to design the plate such that it could accommodate tow hooks. I recommend that you stay away.

Next up was the suspension. I decided that if I’m going to do it then I wanted a substantial upgrade over stock. I wasn’t too happy with how soft the stock suspension was going over obstacles - it definitely contributed to the running board damage - but I didn’t want to sacrifice all on-road comfort. That meant I was looking at adjustable shocks. I wanted a very mild lift. I did some research and settled on the Fox FRS 3.2s. A bypass shock has some significant advantages. I considered waiting for the Bilstein 8xxx shocks to come out, but I guess I’m a little impatient.

The install process was not smooth. I strongly recommend avoiding these until Fox fixes the reservoir mounting. It’s over engineered and in trying to be clever and cut costs they designed a mounting scheme that is entirely too hard to install. It’s absolutely ridiculous that they thought it was OK to put this product out.

Ride quality is great.

Next up, the controversial piece: white wheels. I really wanted to do something unique. We’ve all seen enough builds with bronze and black wheels. It was a risk but I’m happy with how it turned out. I was going for a retro-ish rally car look. I was considering polished wheels like AR 172s or Procomp Vintage but I decided to take the risk.

Fifteen52 Turbomac HD wrapped in 285/70r17 Duratracs, E rated.

I’ll probably paint the centercaps to match the body.

This is all I have in mind for now. I need to figure out how to add in front recovery points. I don’t like any of the bumpers on the market right now. C4 has been entirely useless in helping figure out a solution.

In the future I’ll add in some lights, probably amber Baja Designs LP9s/LP6s but not sure I I want to front mount them or throw a rack on top.
