We invented the (often-copied) plug-and-play dashcam power adapters that connect directly to your vehicle’s rearview mirror harness. That means no fuse taps, no wire splicing, and a clean, factory-style install in minutes.

There’s not enough clearance to put the plastic covers back on over a fuse holder (aka ‘add-a-circuit’ or ‘fuse taps’). As such, you must modify the plastic cover, or simply keep them off. This is a huge bummer for anybody attempting to use a fuse-tap style hardwire kit or dashcam!!

We’ve just confirmed compatibility with the 6G 4Runner and now offer 4 products that cover all trim levels. If you’ve got a camera, radar, or other tech behind your mirror, odds are we have something for you.

Why didn't they get removed from Amazon. You are selling them in there right?

@donayre21, there's nothing wrong with them, we just add improvements each time we start a new production and they haven't received the latest build yet. The improvements are small but meaningful, like the adhesive tape on the base is better.

Is it imperative to use the Pro module? Have a Garmin47 and I’m not concerned with 24 hour recording. TRD Sport Premium with auto dim. 10 pin harness will suffice?

How does the always on feature work, doesn't the rear view shut off when the 4runner is not running?

@Vincenzo, yes the 10-pin harness would suffice, but the connector isn't standard on all trim levels. I would recommend using the 5-pin harness in the domelight which is in 100% in all trims. Don't have to use the PRO module, but there's an ignition-only mode on it so you have the flexibility just in case. Our other 5-pin and 10-pin products are gaining USB-C in the next month, so I'd wait for one of those or just get the PRO.

@Rellims there's always-on power going to the mirror actually, probably for the homelink buttons.

When pulling down the dome light housing, be warned. You will have to get your fingers in deep. There is a separate trim piece around the circumference of the housing that snaps off pretty easily. One of the tabs broke off. It seems fine. The video makes it look easier than it is.
