Interesting - I had an OBD scan tool from my previous car (BMW X5).... called OBDLink CX .
I was happy to learn that it is completely compatible with the Carista app - as are many other scan tools.

I have a great relationship with my service writer and they removed it before I picked up the vehicle.

I wonder if that is a liability to them disabling or if you had to sign a disclaimer?

I didn’t have to sign any paperwork for them to turn mine off.
