Enjoying my new TRD ORP. However one of my biggest gripes so far is that any crumbs, pieces of sand, dirt, etc. get stuck so easily in the perforations. The holes are too big.

2025 4runner 6th gen Crumbs / dirt in Softex seat perforations? IMG_2371

It is mildly infuriating. And I thought the softex would be easier to keep clean than the cloth..

Has anyone found a good solution for this? I've resorted to plucking them out with tweezers.

Oscillating sander in one hand (with no sandpaper on it), vacuum in the other. Works on the carpet too. It vibrates the dirt hard enough to get airborne, where the vacuum grabs it.

Or do like the rest of us, and just get the vacuum right there and slap the hell out of the seat a few times.

The issue is that they get stuck in the holes. Vacuum wont do the trick unfortunately.
this vacuum has two types of power heads and it has loads
of power and suction. it'll work 'cuz it worked on my rav4 softex

or yeah the oscillation sander, will shake ALL the crumbs and microdust up

Ok I’ll have to try that then! Need to invest in a solid handheld vac anyway. Thanks

My Golf R has the same type of treatment on the leather. I have the Dyson above, it’s OK but not a substitute for a good shop vac.

So, shop vac gets it right out in my experience.

Don't eat in the vehicle, especially kids. OR, get a this temp seat cover for those occasions. I use these, https://amzn.to/3KUXj32

lol...I have, or I guess " had " is the term now a friend who scoffed at me when I told him he absolutely could not eat in my 5th gen 4runner, I was taking him home and his house was literally 5 minutes away. The dude had the nerve to ignore me. Than he did it again a few years later...I ended up dropping him from my social reason for that kind of stuff.

For my 6th gen, I am being far more selective about who I let into my vehicle because of that kind of stuff..
