With less than 5,000 miles on my Limited HV, my HVAC panel has been creaking and rattling when I drive over less than perfectly smooth pavement.
I’ve narrowed the area down to the plastic cover underneath the metal switchgear for the controls. When I apply upward pressure on the panel below the switches, it becomes silent while driving.
I’d prefer to try and fix it myself rather than have the dealer take apart the assembly to add felt pads (which may end up causing more rattles). The interior is quiet otherwise, other than some periodic vibration from the driver side door under hard acceleration.
Any tips on how to self remedy this issue?
