With all of the sensors and safety features they put in all of the trims, Iām surprised they skipped on rain sensing wipers (seriously, itāll display speed limit signs, stop signs, pedestrian crossing signs, but no rain sensing wipers). Iāve been living with them for the better part of 10 years...
3400 miles in Michigan, Iāve heard the brakes squeal in reverse 3 times. Twice when backing out of my driveway in the morning, once after driving and then backing up. Never heard it backing out of a parking spot though, so it is very intermittent for mine. It really doesnāt seem bad, I wouldāve...
Passenger side of the infotainment screen right at the top. I read that this does allow wired car play, so hopefully thatāll help in the meantime.
Also, make sure both your phone and vehicle are up to date on their software. Most of the issues with connectivity that were present early on were...
Out of curiosity as I havenāt tried it, have you tried the USB port on the back of the infotainment screen to see if that allows wired CarPlay?
3400 miles and I havenāt had any issues with Car Play. iPhone 15 Pro Max.
I have used it without issue (aside from the app logging me out once while I was out for some reason. Logged back in and worked fine, didn't need to set up digital key again.)
I take it you did the bluetooth key download that the app prompts you to?
Correct, but the factory tires are not directional. I just donāt know why Toyota recommends the way they do, when it will wear one side significantly more than the other.
I plan on rotating my spare tire in when I do tire rotations on my Trailhunter, every 5k miles. When looking through the owners manual, however, it indicates to perform a 5-tire rotation, but keep the spare continuously on the passenger side of the vehicle, not cross-rotating any of the tires at...
Iām also curious, are you talking about the power liftgate itself (as in you have a manual liftgate with gas struts) or the hands-free foot-kick functionality?
Either way if that was THE deciding factor on stepping up to that trim, I wouldāve verified its existence on the vehicle before signing...
āCargo lockā does not adjust the height. While you can adjust the opening height, the ācargo lockā button simply locks the doors after closing the cargo door. The other one without the lock icon just closes it.
the ārearā icon youāre asking about indicates which belts are buckled or unbuckled...
I assume youāre referring to the grab handle above the driver seat on the ceiling? Trailhunter has this as well. Why Toyota did not add one to the driver side on the A-pillar like the passenger side I donāt understand.
I actually found the factory wipers to be pretty nice. Quiet, clean very...
Yep, ā93. Most have indeed rusted away but there are a few folks keeping theirs alive and running. Still a lot of fun to drive even if it isnāt the fastest thing on the road.
I went with a Trailhunter. I strongly considered a Pro. I think a big part of the reason the Pro is outselling the Trailhunter is the name. Everyone knows what a TRD Pro is, whether theyāve had 4Runners in the past or not. Itās always been the top-of-the-line off-roading trim. The Trailhunter...
I believe itās in the vehicle setting in the instrument cluster, not the infotainment screen. I think. Itās just labeled ācheck back seatā with an on/off toggle.
The lantern costs $160. I think there may be a piece snapped in that the lantern twists in to? Maybe someone took the lantern but the surround is still there making that blank cap not fit (can you remove the surround)? Not sure (I donāt have the lantern I found that pic online. I just have the...
