If you are planning on doing some serious off roading I would buy the matte black not the gloss black ones. The gloss would get all scratched up and look horrible.

Thank god for me I'm safe going to Costco and the mall :)

Yeah I was going to get PPF on them but the PPF company quoted me $250 for each fender. I could just buy a new set and replace them for cheaper if they get scratched up.

This looks great! How are you liking those Nitto Terra Grappler G3 tires so far? How do they compare to the OEM highway tires when it comes to road noise, traction, etc.?

They are pretty good. The ride does not feel any worse and there is no noticeable nosy coming from them. I'm running them at 33 psi, I called Nitto and that's what they recommend for highway driving, etc. It has not rained here in SoCal so I'm not sure about the traction yet.

The guys at discount tire told me the KO2's are their best selling tire by far, but they don't make them any more since the KO3's are out. The problem with the KO3's in 275 is they are "E" rated and I was worried they were going to be to stiff etc.

I ordered a new hood with the hood scoop. Also bought an ARB roof rack from another forum member. Got the new hood painted and installed everything today, looks awesome. I think I might be done with the mods for a while :)

I know huh. Might as well since the gas mileage is so bad on these things. I'm only getting 17 mph and I drive pretty chill.
Agreed. For a 4cylinder turbo I expected better, but then I think about how much it's hauling and it kinda makes sense.

That said, I still think a larger 6-cylinder would've made more sense if the tradeoff in terms of gas mileage is minimal in return for more reliability. Please lmk if my thinking is wrong on this tho folks

Question for ya OP - if you don't mind sharing.. how much was the total cost of your build with parts and labor?

Sure here you go. They look like they could be OEM if you didn't know the 4runner. They wrap around quite a bit. I installed them myself, pretty easy just follow the included instructions.

I was just reading the installation instructions, looks like I wouldn’t be able to reinstall the mud flaps with these flares, is that correct?

I would agree. I don’t think these work with mud flaps. It would look weird anyway. They aren’t really needed with these fenders.

Love it brother! Have a underground with portabella in route next month. Will be replacing my grill 1st thing.

Question for you: when you had the front and rear bumpers painted, what did it cost you? And did you remove this for painting? I'm debating between painting or buying a TRD Pro one. Worried about the paint holding up

New here. I just finished the swap-out of my Limited upper grill with the TRD Pro gloss version. Looks nice but the job is not for the faint of heart. Anyway - I found an alternative to plug the camera hole in the upper grill - I found these plastic plugs at Lowes ($1.98 for two). The fit is perfect and super easy to install after the grill install was completed. They are not gloss but it is not noticeable.
