Let the turbo cool off after driving. A minute or two. Sends cooler oil thru it , and helps prevent carbon build up

He also made mention of using the factory designated oil. His reasoning is that the pump/computer is configured to run on the specified viscosity with attention to psi and flow rate. If that were true, this would call into question the 0w20 vs 0w30vs 5w30 debate

The problem about this debate is that it's impossible to settle because no one knows.

For me, I find the suggestion that NA-market T24A-FTS is calibrated specifically to or even has pump hardware specifically for 0W-20, whereas other-market T24A-FTS officially supports all viscosities from 0W-20 to 10W-30 highly suspect. If the tolerances are such that the calibration or hardware must be exactly coupled with one specific oil weight, how does a single vehicle in other markets support 4+ weights?

It’s definitely a conundrum. If it’s simply a matter of ECU programming, is it possible to reprogram for the use of alternative weight oils. If so, how is that going to affect warranty claims, etc.?

But, if it even required reprogramming, then in the other markets you'd have to reprogram when you switch to another supported weight, but you don't. You just put it in.
