Installed the new CAtuned rear cargo shelf. I also wired up a led light for more lighting when opening the hatch, works off the factory wiring so it will turn off as the stock units do, also added some @Diode Dynamics rock lights to it, for rgbw features and used their bluetooth controller to activate them.

That looks great, I’m surprised nobody has commented on it. I’d definitely like to do something like this, but I’m afraid I don’t have the experience for this type of electrical work. How complicated was it?

I got this same shelf and installed it last week.
Love the shelf, especially how it's barely visible through the rearview mirror while driving; they did a great job of nestling it higher than the rear seat headrests.
Installation wasn't awful though their lack of instructions was annoying. There's a video you can watch but even that wasn't great; some of the details were super vague and unhelpful. Product itself is great.
I added a sheet of very thin plastic to the top of the shelf to keep anything from dangling through the holes in the shelf (since I have a blanket / sweatshirt up on the shelf).

I did a couple things this week.
First was a dome light upgrade with this:

Worth every penny. But also added basic $24 Harbor Freight 'rock lights' to the underside of the CATuned shelf and wired them to the cargo lights so they go on and off with the dome lights. TONS of light in there now.

Thats awesome. You tapped into the d pillar cargo lights? I dont have those lights i wonder if I could still tap into the wiring.

I added the D-pillar lights a few months ago so the wiring is definitely already there.
*Easier to tap the passenger side wiring btw.
For my lights I tapped each respective side. On the passenger side there was plenty of easily accessible wire on the truck side connector, I just had to trim away like 2 inches of wire loom to get enough wire to add the taps to. Because the drivers side is in a different, less accessible spot I ended up tapping into the wire on the D-pillar light itself. If you do this install with 2 rock lights and don't have the D-pillar lights recommend you wire them together to the passenger side.
For a total baller install maybe you could identify what style connector it is and source a couple to plug directly into the factory connections.
