Hey all,

I'm pretty tall/long torso. Curious if any of you in the same situation have been able to push the mirror high up against the headliner to give you more view of the windshield.

In my 2007 Tacoma there was an adapter that I used to raise the mirror.

With the digital mirror I can raise it up but it only seems to have a single pivot and I don't want to snap it.

Here's a pic of how high I could get it, but I can push it higher but can't seem to twist/pivot it so I can actually see out the back window.

I included a pic of it pushed to the headliner like I want it, but can't seem to pivot it there.

Thanks!

I dont understand what you are not able to do. You pushed it all the way up. Is it not staying up?

I think what they are saying is being tall, positions them higher in the vehicle, and then the mirror itself blocks the front view out the windshield. They want the mirror to be able to be up higher in the vehicle.

I understood that part and it sounds like that has been handled. You cant move it higher than the headliner.

Yes I know that :)

Most rearview mirrors pivot in 2 places - at the headliner and at the mirror itself

I can't pivot the digital rearview at the mirror itself without feeling like it's going to break. So I can push it high to the headliner (which increases my windshield visibility) but I can't pivot the mirror to make it usable without lowering it from the headliner.

I've included pics of where I've landed with it currently but I'd like to push it higher to the headliner as shown in the one picture.

I was curious if anyone else can pivot their digital rear view when it's up that high close to the headliner or not.

It doesn't look like the digital rearview has a ball joint at the back of it like most do.

I haven't put a lot of effort into inspecting it closely but I too have noticed the digital rearview mirror feels like it's missing a pivot point or something compared to what I'm used to

the hard part is to find a power cord extension for the digital mirror connector

The only pivot the digital mirror has is its attachment point near the headliner. I'm not a fan either, and have the same complaint as the OP.
