The brite box is a decent little standalone unit but for those who want to save some coin you can literally just wire in any switch of your choice and a relay. The Brite Box doesn't do anything other than remove the factory switch from the equation. It doesn't so much make it so your fogs work with the headlights in any more as it removes your fogs lights from the factory system entirely. Your dash light showing fogs on will no longer work as part of the deal.

I did a Spod BantamX for may reasons. With my fogs wired to it and the factory fog wiring set as an input trigger the factory switch works 100% like OEM. If I want my fogs on with no headlights or high beams I simply turn them on via the BantamX touchscreen. As an added bonus you get programable strobing, dimming, and if for some reason you wanted to turn them on remotely via bluetooth you can.

I also have my lightbar wired through the BantamX so as an added bonus it comes on automatically with my high beams. Rear lights come on in reverse. Etc. Plus everything has strobe and dimming if wanted.

Its more money and not pooping on the brite box. Just pointing out what the capabilities of each are. If you're going to add more lighting or need more switches it might not end up being that much more expensive.

Yeah, the more I read into it, it requires a standalone switch. Seems like a lot of money for a switch. If you have any automotive electrical acumen, it is elementary to make this modification yourself. Seems a bit "stuck on" rather than an OEM like solution.

I beg to differ. It could be with previous gens you loose the factory fog light switch. However, with my setup the factory switch continues to activate my fog lights and light the dash indicator. With it turned on if I press the adder switch they just stay on. The only time the adder switch comes into play is with the headlights in high beam mode, with just DRL's on, or with headlights off. Otherwise, everything functions as normal. I do admit one downside is if I engage the adder switch for any reason I have to remember to disengage it when I turn the engine off. A switch panel would resolve this.

One other thing, with the Brite Box energized the dash fog light indicator does not light unless in low beam mode with factory switch turned on.

I stand corrected then. I did not realize it used the factory switch as a trigger as well.

Can you just power the brite box with switched power so that no matter what the fogs don't stay on without the vehicle running?

I belive yes you can. If power is connected through your switch box. Gotta say I'm learning as I go. I saw a YouTube video where the guy hooked his up that way.

Here is a pic with the fog lights on with DRL's, raptor lights, dark chrome illuminated sombrero emblem, and Lasfit turn signal bulbs (amber). I'm liking the versitility plus it looks cool.
