yeah until you see the price for aftermarket tanks. probably be $1500-$2500 for one

probably leaning more toward to be above $2000 for an extended tank

I scoffed at the price of bigger gas tanks back around 2013-2014 after I bought my Tundra and hated that the light came on around 240-260 miles due to the 12.9ish MPG and tank size. Fast forward 12 years and I'm mad at 2014 Dead Horse for not buying one, because the range is by far my biggest complaint about my Tundra and has been since the day I bought it.

I try to not repeat my mistakes and would legit buy a bigger tank without a second thought if my range is consistently under 300 LOL

As far as I'm aware the only answer is whenever Long Range America comes out with a fit for the 6th gen and if anything like previous versions you'll also need a rear bumber/swing or something to relocate the spare tire.

ouch $2300 for extra 18 gallons and you lose around 135lbs of capacity.

18 gal x 6 lbs each (or 6.3 gal, depends who you look up) + 25 lbs for the tank = 133 lbs

its already a low carrying capacity as it is and you lose another 135 lbs.

you are barely going to fit 4 people at 190 lbs a piece not including anything extra like luggage

and thats using a platinum at 895 lbs of capacity bone stock (you lose more if you add too many accessories)

start adding in off road gear, protection and what not and you are barely going to get 2 people and some gear carrying capacity

forgot to add ... how does adding another 135 lbs in the back affect steering at highway speeds ? does it lighten the front end too much?
