For those mentioning TAG as a viable option to prevent car theft, it is snake oil. I have one in my 4Runner to reduce my insurance premium, however I also had one in my Tacoma when it was stolen. Most thefts happen in the middle of the night when you are not aware of your vehicle being taken. By the time you realize, they have already put in all the preventive measures to make sure your vehicle is no longer traceable by TAG. I was given a lot of information from the SPVM (Montreal police) while undergoing what turned out to be a two year car-less nightmare, but here I am.

I don't know if it is available in Canada but look up Ravelco. Makes it very difficult for the car to be stolen...
More than difficult. Don't they have like zero thefts using their system?

I realize that TAG, the club and other methods are mainly time deterrents. Ultimately, the best prevention method is a bollard. But not everyone has the option and money to bore a hole in their driveway.

I don't think the number is zero simply because the vehicle can still be flat towed away, but in terms of breaking the Ravelco system to get the electric system functioning I believe it is zero. Undoing a Ravelco would take a thief hours and they basically just want to get in and out quickly to avoid being caught. I had a Ravelco in my Challenger and have nothing but good things to say about it and the team that came to do the install, they were awesome (Mid Atlantic Ravelco - Chuck).

As a point of personal interest, is it inconvenient to have to insert the pin while carrying a key fob? Does it fit in your pocket? How large is it?

Its about half the length of a keyfob and the same width and about the depth of a keyfob. I never had a problem fitting it in my pocket. There is a learning curve at first positioning it correctly but they will show you how to use the text and grooves on the pin to make it easy. Its definitely worth it!

Visible front and rear dash cams in parking mode, alarm system with a visible active blinking led light , with all the sensors, motion, etc., and Motion sensor lights if applicable in your situation.

i implemented most of these measures on my Toyota Prius that's now parked on my driveway since my ORP took over the garage.
