We just got our first snow in Iowa about 12 inches when it’s all said and done. What is the max speed I can go in 4high is it the same as the fifth GEN 55 miles an hour?

no max speed in 4hi, go as fast as you want
but this is hard on the transfer case** if you are
trying to steer high speed and the slightest corners

engagement/disengagement is 62mph or lower. if
above 62 and trying to switch 4wd<>2wd it beeps at you

**if you have AWD with center diff, then no problem, go any speed
and corner how you want, in AWD only

and techically, the 4R doesnt have awd (awd system typically use the brakes to slow/stop a spinning wheel to simulate 4wd), for the FT4WD models (limited hybrid and the platinum) you are speed limited by the ecu (i think its 105/110 mph)

you need to be very mindful of the speed disengagement on H4L though, the manual is different from the 5th gens i think where i could disengage at any speed vs the 6th gen.

i know i would forget to disengage my 5th gen when i got up to speed on the road to work at 75 mph. i happen to live the city valley so i had to climb either hills to get out of the valley to goto work. so not all stop signs/stop lights were pristine and free of frozen water at them.
