275/70/18 Toyo vs. Nitto

I know they are the same company; however, I am looking for input from users experience with the tires below:
Toyo Open Country A/T III EV and/or Nitto Terra Grappler G3.

I have a 2026 Sport Premium and purchased the 18" TRD wheels months back to replace my 20" wheels. After recently taking it off road in the Kibab National Forest, my OEM Yokohama street tires will need replacing sooner than later. I have searched countless hours researching the internet and this forum reading and would like to keep the SL tire load due to 90% of my driving being highway to and from work. I have narrowed my choices to the two options above. Other than all the previous posts mentioned here in the forum, does anyone have positive and/or negative feedback on either tire?

Always choose a good line to drive. SL tires are easier to damage on rocks.

Nitto's from my experience on my 5th gen put over 50k on them going everywhere.
Still had tread but slippery and rubber got hard.
If I had to get a new set I might try the toyos. Have you seen the weight comparisons?

The Toyos are 44 lbs and the Nittos are 45.6 lbs. My current Yokohamas are 36.2 lbs.

You might have seen my post already on this forum but I still love my 275/70/18 Toyo ATIII in E load. They are 50 pounds over the stock 39 pounds of the 265/70/18 SL, but I can barely tell. Averaged 20 MPG on a road trip from TX > NY and back. Daily I am still sitting around 18.5 with heavy Austin traffic. Feel great off-road and have been wearing great. I am about to do my second tire rotation in 1000 miles and will see if that holds true.

I just read your post on that. I appreciate the info. I will look into those as well. The photo in my post is will be by far the most extreme my 4Runner will see. It’ll see a lot of bladed and fire roads, which is why I’m not really concerned with the SL tire, unless I’m missing something. This is my first off road capable vehicle (5 Toyota vehicles, first 4Runner) and I’m still learning a lot. I took it out to see its limitations. I can’t justify changing out perfectly good tires, but the day on Rocky 4 in the Kibab National Forest definitely helped make the tire replacement a lot sooner than later.
