2025 ORP Overland Build - My first 4Runner, with custom drawers & kitchen

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to share some photos of my first 4Runner build. Purchased back in August it's about 80% of the way done. It's intended to be an overland vehicle for long distance trips as well as my daily driver. As a result it's definitely not as built out as some of the ones I've seen on here but I'm pretty stoked on it.

I will be driving it across Canada this summer from Calgary to Newfoundland and back for it's first long voyage.

Modifications so far:
Toyo Open Country ATIII Tires
TRD Skid plate
Full front Xpel PPF + windshield PPF
Sherpa Capitol Rack
Dobinsons IMS suspension upgrade to support RTT and rear drawer system. (This has done wonders for ride quality)
Fahrt Systems custom drawers/kitchen to support Bluetti Elite 200 v2 power station and 45L ICECO fridge.

Modifications to come:
Go Overland Canada Voyage RTT
OVS Nomadic 180 Awning
Potential 40 side seat delete for extra storage space.

super nice setup. this is what I love about this site, always finding out about new brands (Fahrt) I've never heard of.

I did the driver side rear seat delete for additional storage. In place of the driver side rear seat I extended a platform over the footwell that can either hold a cooler or a place to put my gear bags for quick access.

I’m keeping the pax side rear seat since it goes with drawers I am building for the cargo area that turns into a sleeping platform when the rear seat is folded flat.

@brewrunner, do you mind measuring the length of the box? I’m currently doing research and plan to buy a 4Runner, and your post is making me wonder if a drawer box I made for a different vehicle would fit.
