2025 4Runner Platinum Deal

What STL dealership? I've been on Ackerman's list since April of last year for a Platinum. They had a white one, but I passed on it and now I'm regretting it since I'm barely seeing any new Platinum's being built.

Im on the list for Pensacola, FL. (Red Platinum). Over the years, I have both bought and influenced family members to purchase over million dollars in new vehicles, may have to go with different vendor, this seems crazy.

I completely agree on the Toyota buying process. Its not a good start to a new buyer. As stated in another thread, I was ready to buy a Tundra after the 4Runner, within 3 months. However, I am not rewarding Toyota for a crappy buying experience. My first and maybe last Toyota.

meh, me i am not in a hurry. i mean i waited 10 months for our 23 tundra (orginally requested a 22 but took so long it converted to a 23)

been on the list since dec-2024 for a platinum. i expect i will be waiting til summer or fall before my specific build gets allocated.

but then again, toyota sells so many worldwide and the usa market is but a small fraction.

i mean the usa market is only roughly 20% of world wide sales of 10 mil vehicles sold by toyota (the only manufacturer that broke 10 mil sold).

i think the nearest usa brand is 6 mil vehicles (stellantis) worldwide and 2 mil usa sales.

Congratulations! Love mine too. I ended up with Pearl White from Panama City vs Pensacola. Drove 100 miles or so back home. Consider this, picked up on Jul 6th, didnt drive on 7th, drove total of 4-6 miles on 8th about 10 miles on 9th. Starting from red stop light, Something went wrong and received dash errors. Drove for about 10 sec like something was wrong. I dont drive crazy, just going back home. Oddly enough, we were looking at a Palisade for the wife. Got a appt for Pensacola Toyota to look at it for the 12th. Now getting new transmission (on order) as of 12th. Something went wrong in transmission. They explained what is likely is. Kinda of a let down, but they seem to be making it right and covering the Corolla rental. Don't like the fact this happened but if they put in new transmission and it solves issue, then I'm GTG. Its NOT a staff issue so no need to get huffy with anyone at the dealership. Yes this sux but stuff happens in life I guess.... I really do like this vehicle mate. ALOT ! Hope others don't have to go through this.

That really sucks. Wind Chill Pearl is a beautiful color. What is wrong with the transmission? What error messages did you receive?

There is a dealer in Northern MN that has a platinum coming in. We just bought one from them about a week ago and looks like they have another one coming.
