2025 4R TRD Pro Really Noisy Windshield Wiper Motors

Just back from Service visit #1, after 5600 kms. Had oil Change #1. Also, I think they fixed the drivers side door shake/rattle sound, at least it sounded better that's for sure... of course the tech couldn't hear it in his test drive, but they never hear what owners hear. BUT my toyota service shop did the fix none the less. (Fix from this thread https://www.4runner6g.com/.../jbl-stereo-rattling-and.../ ) I showed him the video, so they did what the video did... As for the windshield wipers. It's a known issue, especially here in the pacific north west. We just use our wipers more than anyone else in North America. They weren't broken to begin with, just got louder with time I'm told. I went in my friends TRD Pro (he works at the dealer, his Pro is 1 week old, and we heard no wiper noise in his. Anyways, parts are on back order, have another appt. scheduled in 6 weeks. It's under warranty, so best to get this on record w/ your dealer even if they can't fix before warranty runs out. They need a record of it, during warranty period.

I’ve not heard of anyone fixing this… only some folks being more or lyes annoyed by it.

How are the new motors holding up so far? I just dropped mine off at the dealer to hopefully get them replaced under warranty.

I live in Victoria it hardly rains here from June until September so I’m not the best guy to ask. I haven’t heard them the odd time that I turned them on after replacement motor.

When I asked our Service Manager about our noisy wiper motor, he launched his normal pre-prepared exit strategy... "They all sound like that".
