I’m new here and just picked up a TRD Pro 4Runner yesterday.

I wanted to comment to say that this allocation list resource was incredibly helpful. I had called a couple dealers to see if trucks that they had listed were actually available and kept getting told they were already reserved. Once I found this post, I downloaded it, used Excel to filter it for stuff nearby, and found a Mudbath TRD Pro at a dealer in Erie (90 miles away) that had just been delivered, wasn’t marked up, and wasn’t already sold.

I bought it a few hours later.

Lol. I think everyone here on the forum who has taken delivery of a brand new 4Runner knows what I'm feeling. I can't even recognize myself anymore. I'm looking for any excuse to go out and run and errand just to get in my badass rig. I'm like, "Honey are you sure you got everything from the grocery store? Cuz, I'll be happy to go get anything you forgot."

The allocation list is extremely helpful. I've been waiting for a Limited Heritage Blue to come in to any of the local dealers in Washington State since March, but I've only seen 1 come in, which was pre-sold. Every color except Heritage Blue is on the list, so, I went out and bought a 2025 Tacoma Limited 2 weeks ago instead. Asked the dealer that I was on the wait list for to move me to the 2026 wait list whenever that starts up.
Maybe I'll get lucky next year.

I'm guessing you've not seen one of these in person? I was offered a TRD Pro with a Red interior. It was a bit much for my taste. Felt as if I would have needed a welder's helmet to operate the vehicle. I've also noticed several resales with red interiors. I would definitely put my eyes on one in the wild before pulling the trigger

So I can see it on the dealer website but I can't see it using the Toyota Search inventory function (https://www.toyota.com/search-inventory) which is what the spreadsheets are constructed from.
So not sure why.

A bit late with this reply but maybe it will help someone else. Does the IsTempVIN column show true or false? Mine showed false, but the dealer gave me a different vin and a couple days after I put my deposit down it changed on the spreadsheet to match the one from the dealer and the temp column updated to true. Not sure why.

The IsTempVIN column indicates if the VIN shown in the VIN column is a temporary VIN. If IsTempVIN is True then that VIN is a temporary VIN and, if false then that VIN is not a temporary VIN (i.e. it is the real VIN). For Toyotas you can also tell that it is a temporary VIN in that there are one or more alphabetic characters in the last 6 digits of the VIN.

Not sure why the dealer gave you a real VIN at first then a temporary one. At some point that temporary one will turn into a real VIN.

Hey team. For those that are in search of your next 4Runner, I came across this sheet. It’s updated 6 days if not 7 days per week by 6am. It’s got every 4Runner trim in allocation, including VIN, ETA windows, all the details. My favorite data point is it will tell you if there’s a DEALER HOLD or not. It will SAVE YOU TIME so you’re not calling dealerships, spending time on Toyotas website.
