  1. Do you have a vibration in your 4R? Dealer having issues diagnosing? (Blaming tires?)

Is this issue only on some 4R’s or are we saying its on all? My SR5 does not have the vibration described at 2000 miles. Should I be looking for it? We never have folk in the back seat, is it detectable in front seats? my SR5 was the first or second delivered to the dealer in late March. Is...

  3. 2025 4Runner SR5 (stock) on 275/70/17 Falken Wildpeak AT4W - thoughts / impressions

I was told the SR5 OEM rims are too small in width to safly use larger tires. And confirmation on that?
  4. American Adventure lab answer phones?

Show your flustration with your wallet and refuse to do business with them. I actually test call/contact businesses before I buy anything significant. If I get bad support or no contact, they don’t get my business. I typically share my negative experience too. sadly, its more common but, they...
  5. 2025 4Runner SR5 (stock) on 275/70/17 Falken Wildpeak AT4W - thoughts / impressions

any issue with using the stock wheels on those 275's? I seem to remember reading that the width of the tire does not sadly support going too wide but I don't have the details. I too have the SR5 stock wheels. When my tires need replacing, I was hoping to go bigger, not for looks, not for...
  6. Your Opinion Matters: An Extra Replaceable Battery for the MF200?

Clearly having a replaceable battery is better than just a single sealed battery. One issue with these "off brands" is batteries. Both quality and availability. That is why many people stay with one known brand like Milwaukee, Bosch, Dewalt for all battery powered tools.
  7. Switched from Regular to Premium gas. 4Runner runs better (more power & smoother)

After 9 years running premium in a Ford Escape 2.0 Twin Turbo, I switched to 87 and got better gas mileage, consistently and repeatable. 9 years @18k a year wasted money :(
  8. Switched from Regular to Premium gas. 4Runner runs better (more power & smoother)

The scientific part of my brain agrees with the theory posted here. Very well written. I will be sticking with 87 which is an easy choice for me, I am not looking for small performance boosts or any performance boost, it has enough power stock for me. No impact on reliability so, I'll save money...
  9. 2025 4runner TRD PRO cost for a solid paint job

Usually not a practical solution unless you got a lot of money to throw around.
  10. What factory oil and filter?

Try a search, it's posted in many places. This might help - https://www.4runner6g.com/forum/threads/oil-filter-and-drain-plug-part-numbers-for-gas-nonhybrid-iforce-engine.2620/ As for what oil is put in at the factory, I don't know and not sure anyone knows outside of Toyota.
  11. Tire Squeaking full lock slow turns, dry parking lot.

Thanks for comprehensive answer to a dumb question :). I guess I am getting paranoid with folk reporting problems.
  12. Carista Options / Settings for 2025+ 4Runner 6th Gen (screenshots)

Nothing needed to buy. Cartsta works with many vehicles. I contacted them to confirm the 4G ^th get was supported. They confirmed yes. So far, it's been useful. Ongoing, not sure. Might be good to grab error code.
  13. Speedometer compensation for tire size?

My SR5 with the OEM wheels and tires is within 1 MPH when checked with a couple of GPS devices. Although, I do intend on replacing the OME size with the 265/70/R17 when the current tires need replacing. Do you get better on road compliance over pot holes and bumps with your 265's? There is a...
  14. Tire Squeaking full lock slow turns, dry parking lot.

I have just noticed tire squeal when doing a slow full lock turn in parking lots. 2k miles and have not noticed before. Does it on right and left turns. Full lock and close to full lock. in 2WD. SR5, standard wheels and tires. No lift or other mods. I have and had a few new vehicles and don't...
  15. Switched from Regular to Premium gas. 4Runner runs better (more power & smoother)

I have not seen 85 here in Tennessee. Costco has two flavors available, 87 and 93. 93 is $0.65 a gallon more. i can see your point on 85 and high altitude with a Turbo engine.
  16. I'm deciding now on a 4R please let me know what if any problems you have had?

Search the forum you will see many postings reporting the common issues. Here are a few from memory: Break Squeal Transmission shifting clunky and unrefined Pain issues Air dam falling off Vibration Noise from inner door, speaker area General oddities on the InfoTainment system
  17. Switched from Regular to Premium gas. 4Runner runs better (more power & smoother)

Throwing this out as a thought for comment. If the 4R is "tuned" to run on 87. When I say tuned, the ECU, ignition, timing, etc (using old terms). Would that mean that when using 93, the ECU would need to change the timing to deal with the fuel confusion differences? Equally, if you put 87 in a...
