Maybe old news but has anyone notices the Morse Code on the lower passenger side of windscreen. Also, on the dash accessory cover.
Windshield translates to Bad Ass Truck.
Accessory cover is a bit more boring, translates to Accessory Ready.
I nice touch on the windscreen.
I will be testing offline maps with Apple maps, Google and might try waze. I will not keep all three after I settle on one that we like most.
Thank you.
Funny you should mention the sequence of getting in. We took our 4R SR5 out for the first time yesterday. My wife and I took turns driving to get used to it. Its our first Toyota so many differences.
When we got home, we both said we must be doing something wrong when getting in to the drivers...
On the paint, mine two was scratches and swirls. It was the dealers “detailing” that dd it as I did a close up video just after it came of the truck.
Never let them wash a new vehicle.
After trying to use the GPS in a new 4R SR5 today, it seems like thew GPS offering is cloud based with a $15 subscription. I am aware you can use CarPlay and a variety of apps. My wife's question is if your in an area with no cell coverage, will you have GPS capability.
I realize that is true...
Thanks. Looks like Toyota cheaped out on the trial subscription offerings for the SR5. Big loss for them as I will not try it by having to pay $15 a month. This coupled with they bundle the subscription so I would be paying for Remote connect again even though its free for a year. Crappy thought...
What did tge dealer do? I confirmed online that the SR5 does not have Direct connect trial. Did you buy it or do you have a trim level that includes it?
Looks like the SR5 does not have the Drive Connect subscription. This is a real pain because the screen seem to default to that every start up.
Added to that, you cannot use Wireless CarPlay and connect to the Internal AT&T hotspot as CarPlay uses Wi-Fi. I am experimenting with a cable...
New 4r SR5 here. I was under the impression that even the SR5 has a Drive Connect subscription for 1 year. I see all the other subscriptions like remote connect, service connect in the app but not drive connect. The main Info screen always starts with a "Get Started" message for what I assume is...
Dusty Lens - That was helpful.
I too have the get started screen and when I go to the Toyota app, I see the other free subscriptions but not drive connect. Does Toyota have a number to call.....
Absolute crooks. I would share your experience in the hope it will reduce their business.
I’d show them your CC statement and demand the deposit back. If not, file a claim with your CC bank. Hopefully you have a written contract showing the deposit is fully refundable. If not, it might end up...
I think that is a Canada thing. I have heard about the massive car theft rings in Canada. Sadly, the police enforcement is loosing the battle and was slow to respond initially.
I believe the SR5 has GPS reporting to Toyota. Not sure if that would satisfy the insurance requirements of if they...
I have only had PPF installed once, back in 2014. It was full front, mirrors, a-pilars and half hood using 3M film. Even today it looks goos and has protected the pain very well. The cost back in 2014 was $650 installed.
I just called three local installers in Tennessee and found the cost to...
