Any issues with those tires and the 7" OEM rims? I keep reading comments that say you should not go much larger on that rim cause it can cause bulging and it's not safe? I too am looking at the same size but unable to get a concise answer from tire shops or tire rack,
I agree with the original posters opinions. In my case I have the less costly SR5 and I "put up with it". If I paid for a higher trim with the same issue, I'd be pissed off. As for driving before buying, I did not. The dealer only had Tacoma's. I got the first or second on the lot.
I too...
My 4R is 8 months old now and the dash screen has never been that dirty. Just curious if you drive with the windows down a lot or if the Pollen filter is missing not not installed correctly allowing junk to come into the cabin?
I found the display on the SR5. It was not logical to me. I scrolled down until I saw Trip Meter A and then scrolled across to see the tire pressure. As stated, it's only the 4 tires and not monitoring the spare. Seems a shame as the spare is often forgot about until you need it and it's way...
Question (not trying to hijack the thread.
How to I get that display of tire pressure (especially the spare) on an SR5. I have the app but it only shows the four main tires and not the spare. Maybe that's a higher trim level feature?
That is concerning as you seemed to be well under the payload limits. If possible, if might be good to compare with another vehicle. I have never had people in the back or at this point, no significant weight. If I do, I'll measure the rear before and after. I'll also find a few bumps to go...
I too have the 1up SD. Awesome. As stated, you will need tge longer lock.
i also heard they have a more secure hitch cover. The bolt is crap on its own. The rack is great.
As you stated your main use is driving in the snow, the AWD models would seem best.
i would say the SR5 is probably a bit more comfortable than a modern jeep but it is body on frame and you do feel the road imperfections. No full time AWD, but has manual 4WD which is good enough in my opinion...
What is the physical brightness button on the left dash? I know about the headlight projection angle adjustment. Maybe your trim level has a dash dimmer knob?
I just checked my steering wheel to leg clearance and it's about 1". So, this would need me to drop the seat height, a compromise I will not do at this time. I have a couple of long trips planned in the next few months, maybe that will make me look at these again.
I love the fact they are Made...
I am taking a look at them now. I'll watch the video and other reviews. Its my first Toyota and my wife and I were confused how difficult is was to get in and out. It's not the hight, I have had higher SUV's and I own a Ford F350 FX4 and have no issues. I mention this because I have found that...
$4k on stuff going wrong is not good. I keep vehicles till about 150-250k and never spend that much on things going wrong. I expect only recommended maintenance costs up to 150K
I also wonder if the larger tires put more strain on the electric steering. I would hope the electric steering components are the same across all models but, who knows. Larger tires with a larger area of rubber on the road probably does have a larger load on the electric motor but maybe they...
