Octain rating, pro's and cons have been discussed in many other forum posts. It's probably fair to say, it's unrelated to injector noise. Everyone has an opinion and can spend money where they want, I prefer data driven decisions. . Not needing the claimed additional HP, I'll run 87 100%. I...
I see the moderators are deleting my posts again, without any notification or justification. I simply stated that this posting was not 4Runner related and should the moderators not delete this posting and not my factual posting????
Normal does not seem to be the "default" in my SR5. I set to Eco and it stays in that mode unless I change to normal or sports. Maybe its just the Sports mode that you cannot leave in that mode?
I got my 4R right of the delivery truck. No lockbox installed unless it was done during delivery. Its also the same issue both sides.
If anyone is bringing this to the dealer, please share dealer response. I am not schedule to go for an oils change for a couple of months.
I too mark the tires and take a sample of the oil from the dipstick to compare color in the parking lot of the dealer when picking up.
I would seriously report your experience to management and Toyota. Equally, never go to that dealer again. Its places like that who give a back reputation to...
Mine changed when I manually turn DST off in the main screens settings. You would think this would be automatic.
I did toggle DST on and off and the dash screen did change too. Even a cheap Chinese digital clock can update time correctly.
Hey Y'all:
The time changed here a couple of days ago and I noticed the 4R Sr5 did not change the time. I looked in the book and it directed me to the 8" infotainment screen. Setting | General | Date and Time.
I sat the time was 1 hour ahead and the DST switch was toggled on. I also saw the...
At best that is laziness by Toyota not keeping the web details up to date and announcing changes with dates. This is close to being a scam, switch and bait. Shame on you Toyota.
I remember the SR5 with all the test reviewers saying it had heated seat.... NOT.
Sadly, I am back to buying a Ford...
Congrats. I have the 4R and am generally happy with it. My next purchase was going to be the Tundra but after months of research, I do not want to take the risk. Maybe if they did a significant refresh but even then, reliability is questionable. I am not focused on the Ford F150 5.0 V8. No...
Love the chart. I have nit seen it before but have been making adjustment ad-hoc. So the chart is claiming 70 deg F is the temp the OEM psi is set at. Interesting.
Thanjs for sharing.
I always go by tge door sticker. In my case, 33 psi when cold.
I do wish they would publish a table of PSI required based on actual temperature. The term cold may be 60 deg F to some or 20 deg D to others.
if they (all manufacturers) said something like;
20 f, set to 28 psi
30 f, set to 30...
