for those running oem mud guards and the oem automatic running boards in winter states. just a heads up. the snow/slush coverage is not ideal.

i will be looking for replacement mud guards to compensate for the issue i have (see attached picture). i need to find aftermarket mud guards that i can adjust down 1 inch and outwards about 1 inch.

on my 2014 i didnt have this issue since i had the classic static oem running boards that blocked the accumulation of snow on the rear passenger doors.

as you can see in the picture, the rear passenger door accumulates snow pack that i will have to remove before driving into the garage. on my 2014 i had a wooden hammer handle i used to knock off snow in the wheel wells and to beat the underside of the running boards to knock off snow packs from the underside.

Havnt snow here yet in Vancouver. I wonder how the Rally Armour ones will hold up.

I really wanted to try the Rally Armour, but at $300+ for a set...thats a big ask for mud flaps.

I think you can you get the TRD Pro versions, which are wider (not sure about longer) for $100something?

The Ark ones seem interesting, but not sure if I like the shape of them.

You want a flexible mudguard. With those OEM (ORP or TRD Pro) I don't think they will last very long if you go down a big rock... or even on hard packed dirt. I haven't found anaything better that Rally Armor so far. I wll probably buy them next spring. Event at 400$.

i will probably go rekgen's, i emailed them and they replied ...

"we are looking into this fitment, but not sure of launch date"

have then on the tundra and like them a lot at only $155 for a 4pc set

here is pics of the oem flaps vs the rekgens i installed.

I'm not thrilled with our predator steps. While they look good they have little function and fill up with snow. Very loud when the slush hits them. I started calling them snow catchers. Should have just gotten sliders.

lol learned that the hard way on our 2016 tacoma in ND winters, ended up getting rid of it 2yrs later for a tundra :)
