I did the same (running boards and air dam). The running boards were a bit of a shin-cracker when stepping up to the truck when that door is open. Sliding out, and my legs would hit it. Just an awkward height for me. They're great boards, I just don't use them. Totally for sale and local pick up in Northern Virginia!

When working always pulled steps off and put in parts till vehicle sold on my and wife’s demo. Now in retirement they go in the corner in garage.Some were danger to dog getting out of vehicle and all would get dirt on paints or dress at times.
