Widow Door rattle / vibration source when playing music and how to actually fix door rattle permanently

So my rattle is coming from top left of window when closed. Like closest to the B pillar but top left of the door surround. I pulled the weather stripping and sprayed expanding foam in. Did zero. And that’s not a part of the door you can separate or get into. The good news is it’s directly next to my head. Wth

My 2026 ORP has only 1800 KM ; same spot as yours; top left corner of driver door window, rattles for bumpy road & heavy base at certain frequency range.

If I roll this window down a bit, rattle will disappear.

This is a fantastic write up, and it seems to have quelled the metallic rattle I would get out of the passenger door. I could reproduce it by striking the heel of my palm on the door and listening to the right side of the window.

I heard it more on choppy (read: not so much potholes) road surfaces, than music bass.

I also added some Tesa wiring harness tape here and there on the panel for good measure, along with the amazon basics insulation sheets.

No one should waste time at the dealer trying to get them to hear it, it takes 45-60min at home with very basic tools.

The most difficult thing was actually just getting the door puddle light connector unclipped!

I guess you got lucky, and have a tiny air gap between the metal pieces.

Im finding this very interesting. I have been pushing my trucks sound system to its limits trying to re create this rattle and for the life of me i cant. My friend however who has my identical truck but 2025 not 2026 like mine, he has this rattle issue on any slight bass music at volume 40.

I wonder if Toyota fixed the issue on the 2026 models?

I have this same rattle on my brand new 2026 (May build) - so nope.

I took apart my door and mine was related to a piece of metal that ran behind the window channel in the pictures here. It was a non painted chrome type 1/4 diameter tubing of some type that ran from behind the window channel to the upper portion of the door where the rattle is from. Its very loose and if I touched it you could hear the exact rattle on the pilar behind the window.

I didn't take any pictures and I did a rush job because its over 100 out today, but I shoved a thick piece of foam between this piece and the back of window channel and the noise is now gone. I will return later in the fall to redo everything and also apply more sound deadening as well.
