Looks great, what offset are those rims? Also how's the ride/noise/mpg?I also just put 285/70/r17 tires on my stock height and rim SR5. No rubbing at all and rides smooth. Let me know if anyone has questions.

Wow. YOU are so right. I put the 285/70r17 on my stock sr5 7" wide rim and I can see it balloon down the middle of the tire because it's too narrow. I don't think it would fall under warranty if a problem arises because the tire Manufacturer say 7.5" min. So, I am going to 17 x 8.5. It will ride flatter I am sure. Plus we can get a little poke with the +35 offset. That's another 1400 bucks for wheels UGH. But we don't want to have them wear in a fraction of the time and then have to buy new and buy bigger wheels.

Toyota use to sell the previous gen 4 runners lifted on 285s with 7” wide sema wheels all day long. I don’t think it’s an issue. I personally acquired 2025 Tacoma trd off road 17” wheels powder coated all black. They are a 7.5 inch wide wheel and it’s fine. 7.5 is technically the lowest you can go per every tire manufacturer.
So Toyota sold a tire on a wheel that was tech no small per the tire manufacture? That seems strange they would do that given it could be a lawsuit since it's not recommended. I personally see why they don't recommend it. My tire is bulging on the sides and across the top. I know people will do it but it's wise to tell them it's not recommended and why and let them decide if they want to foot the bill for that.

Relax man. Everyone was doing it in the 5th gen’s including me. I had no issues on bfg c rated. Tires wore even. Our dealer sold them like hotcakes. I don’t think the dealer cares about the law since they have a partnership with the local PD.
Swapped stock tires with Cooper Discoverer Road+Trail AT 265/70-R17, reused stock SR5 rims. Happy with the outcome as size is like stock for higher trims, i don't notice any drag in acceleration at all.

When it comes time for it, I'm also looking to swap my stock SR5 tires for either the Cooper Road & Trail or the Toyo AT3 in 265/70/17
How are you liking these tires in this size on your SR5? Load range? MPG hit? Noise? Ride smooth? etc...
