I have OEM all weather floor mats. Is it worth upgrading to laserfit?

I have WeatherTech mats in my (now the wife's) Jeep and I got LasFits for the 4Runner - so far I think I prefer the Lasfits for the expanded coverage.

The WTs are great at keeping water/mud/snow contained so you can easily dump them out, but i found the mats would curl up over time and the fitment for some of the smaller pieces wasn't great. The trunk liner is fantastic and the high sides are great. I've had a cooler leak and the WT trunk liner kept the water contained so I could just pour it out.

I went with Lasfits for the 4Runner because of the expanded coverage, I like the rear seat covers and the coverage over the door sill. Only time will tell if they're better but it's looking good so far.

I’ve had both. It’s not close. Lasfit is much better.

it depends if you exceed the minimal crud capacity of OEM

how much mud and snow do you get in San Diego ?

OEM all weather mats are largely useless if you track mud and snow in
every day such as a New England winter. slop gets over the sides quickly.
WeatherTech, Husky, TuxMat, LasFit can take a lot of mud and snow w/o
spilling over edges. OEM, not so much. OEM all weather mats are the first
thing I tossed on my other 4runner, Tacoma, Yaris, Rav4...'cuz they are a joke

Now, if you just want to hit the slopes for a weekend, OEM can handle a few
snowy and muddy boots, but day-in day-out ?...not effective in my experience.

The one downside with any all weather mat is accumulated water from tracking in too much snow. I always end up putting towels down to soak it up but that gets old if it happens frequently.

ND ... winters

1. you track snow in and it melts
2. it freezes cause its below zero during the night (unheated garage and the tundra sits outside 24/7)
3. you drive far enough that the frozen block melts and hopefully some of it converts to moisture
4. the melted ice re-freezes
5. repeat ad nauseam until from november to march (oct to april at times depends on the cold snaps an if we get early/late snow)

we did get a nice blizzard in april 2022, 33 inches across 3 days.

l went with Weathertech for the cargo floor and LasFit everywhere else. The Weathertech cargo mat seemed to be a better design to me than the LasFit version but I liked the LasFit better for the rest. And the LasFit back-of-seat protection is great too.

I’m WeatherTech but I’m considering removing mine and selling to get the Tuxmats for the Hybrid once they have them.

I’m really hoping that the hybrid version of the Lasfit becomes available for purchase soon. Right now, they’re only selling the non-hybrid versions.

I was not a fan of the red and white lettering on the Weathertechs and read many positive reviews about the Lasfit, so I went with Lasfit and I have no complaints. I am seeing now that Weathertech now offers liners without the red and white lettering, a bit more subdued. Is that new or was always an option that I did not notice earlier?

I got Lasfit. Cheaper than Weathertech and IMO equally good. Personally I am very satisfied with them.

This is exactly what I ended up doing. Completed agree with the cargo mat from Weathertech looking and fitting better. Thank you for the images. Makes me feel good about the decision.
