Anyone know anything about this company? I saw ads on Facebook but I don’t trust anything anymore. They offer hood strut kits for $69ish. Would like to hear from real humans (assuming there are any on here) haha.

I concur with statement, I bought and installed them in about 20 min. I have a Platinum Hybrid model. Bought mine off Amazon. Redline had directions and brackets for a great fit. I'm mechanical inclined so was super simple. If your not, go slow and take your time. I believe you'd be happy with them. Good luck.

Good idea, tired fighting that manual strut.
Looks like there may be 3 or so inches between the point the piston attaches to the lower bracket and the bracket attaches to the body.
Do you see any lateral motion of the hood open or closed?

I installed the Redlines, no hood push or wobble, feels just as secure as before the install (they are nice that they fasten directly to the hood connection to the hinge).
Got them from Amazon on sale for $80 (add them to a list and wait for a sale). Super quick and easy install.

FWIW, I have had gas struts fail on hood and rear hatch supports--easy to replace, but still need to be replaced. I have never had a physical rod fail. Nor had the torsion springs in my old Tahoe hood--I do not know why those are not used more--they work as well as gas struts but will last forever. Probably cheaper too. Personally I would not bother changing to gas struts, but of course your preference may vary and nothing wrong with that :).

Lexland is Hannshow rebranded. They closed Hannshow. I'd stay away as they are not a reputable company. Cheap products and bad customer service. I know this because I was an affiliate of theirs and I stopped doing so a couple months ago.
